Adelita or Soldaderas are the women who participated in the Mexican revolution, in the military contingents of revolutionary groups as soldiers, cooks, nurses or assistants. They also carried weapons and even participated in battles if required.
Most were 15 years old.

Voladores de Papantla

The Voladores de Papantla or also called “Birds of the Earth” is an ancient ritual associated with fertility that Totonac natives performed year after year. The word Papantla has a meaning in which Papan means “noisy bird” and tlan means “place”.
